107-Unit Senior Living Community Planned for Lincoln’s Twelve Bridges

A new senior living community is moving closer to development in Lincoln’s Twelve Bridges area, adding another project to one of the city’s fastest-growing areas.

The proposed Carefield Assisted Living and Memory Care community would include 107 residential units and is planned near Red Rock Road and Colonnade Drive in the Twelve Bridges area.

Carefield Living, the company behind the project, currently lists Lincoln among its future California communities. The company operates senior communities specializing in assisted living and memory care.

The Lincoln project has already gone through portions of the city’s development review process. On September 23, Lincoln’s Design Review Board considered a request involving an extension of the project's Specific Development Plan, Development Permit and Conditional Use Permit.

Current planning information indicates construction could begin in 2027, although development schedules can change as projects move through permitting, financing and construction planning.

The location places the proposed community near the growing commercial and residential areas surrounding Twelve Bridges Drive, as well as medical facilities and Highway 65.

The project would provide another senior housing option in a part of Lincoln that has experienced substantial residential development in recent years. Twelve Bridges was originally envisioned as a large master-planned community incorporating housing, commercial centers, schools, parks, trails and open space.

Carefield says its assisted-living communities provide services for residents who need help with everyday activities such as medication management, dressing, meals and transportation within the community. Its facilities also offer specialized memory-care services for residents living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and other forms of memory impairment.

An exact opening date for the Lincoln community has not been announced.
